The start of your crystal journey

Writer's picture: Love Happens to MeLove Happens to Me

I’m so excited that you have decided to start your crystal journey!

I cant explain what an exciting time this is for you, because give it a week, a few months, a year – however long – you’ll be able to tell me the difference you have seen and felt in yourself, because of the impact crystals have had on you.

Its quite a remarkable achievement. I loved the realisation that they had made a difference in my life.

And to be honest, at first, I couldn’t quite believe it. Because how could a rock from the earth make such a big impact in my life, when it had been so out of alignment and so confusing for me for so long (when my anxiety was at its worst).

And yet crystals had made an impact. And such a slight one that I hadn’t realised at first, and it took a while for me to reflect to realise just how powerful they had been in my own life.

And I get this all the time with my clients. We will work together for a little while, or they will be working with crystals suggested and guided by me and they will have changed. They will seem brighter, perkier, more energetic and excited for life and they will, I guarantee, turn to me and say – “but nothing has changed Lanna, I haven’t DONE anything. There is no difference”.

Cue me pretending to fall on the floor in outrage and sitting them down to outline all the significant shifts that have occurred in their life during the time they have been working with crystals.

I truly LOVE this. This is one of the main reasons I love what I do so much. Its seeing the change in people, the transformation and the look of surprise and delight when they realise it themselves too.

The shifts are subtle, as crystals work with your subtle energy field. So it may not be a bolt from the sky or a release like when you go for a massage and that knot has finally gone.

It will be a significant shift in your energy, so you FEEL different. And that’s the aim, right?

I am so excited for you to be starting this journey.

I want to congratulate you and give you some tips:

Journal, Journal, Journal

Please journal, journal, journal this.

If you’ve decided to incorporate crystals into your life (all you need to do when you start is to carry them with you) then please journal this process.

Write down what crystal you pick, why you’ve picked it (either intuition or because you’ve read it does something, or whatever other reason it may be) and how you are feeling when you pick it (for example you may pick selenite because you have read its calming because you are feeling anxious).

Then at the end of the day, when you put your crystal back down, right a few bullet points on how you now feel (like I said, the change will be subtle so don’t stress yourself, just write a few things that come to mind).

I promise you, because the effects of working with crystals are so subtle, you will need this journal to refer back to so you can identify your journey, and be able to build an understanding of which crystals work best for which areas of your life for YOU – because at the end of the day, your energy is individual to you and you will have crystals you connect to better than others for certain things.

It’s the same process I use during a crystal healing, and it’s the biggest tip I can give you so you can get the most out of working with crystals.

The One I Love

When you want to pick a crystal based on intuition rather than because of a description of its properties, pick the one you are most attracted to.

You could be picking crystals from a collection you already have, from an online shop or a physical one.

By picking the one you are most attracted to I mean the one that you want to touch, feel, reach out for, the one that makes you feel happiest and most connected to.

The one that makes you go “mmm yeah that’s the one” – this is the crystal your energy is connected to and will fit in with your needs right there and then.

The One I Not-So-Love

You should also pick a second crystal using your intuition. This time you should pick the one you may think “eugh no I don’t like that one” even if you’ve never worked with it before.

This is the one you really don’t want to be near, you’d rather ignore or you just don’t like the look of.

If you’ve not had such a strong reaction to any, then it’s the one you least like the look of.

This is the crystal whose energy will deal with an issue you are suppressing, but that needs to be released.

This may seem daunting but its not as bad as you think.

All you need to do is carry the crystal with you and it will naturally start to erode away at the blockage that is causing the problem.

Trust the journey and that crystals only do good.

They will make you feel better.

So even if your initial reaction is one of avoiding it, in the long term the benefit will be worth it.

Try it!

I always push my clients to do this, and they always come back with great changes in their lives.

Congratulations on choosing crystals as a method to improving your wellbeing. Well done on taking back the power and autonomy to make yourself feel better. Now watch the transformations unfold in front of you!

Let me know! I want to hear about your journey, the crystals you are connected to and the ones you are avoiding. I love to hear these stories.
